This web tutorial was prepared by Jack Angert as part of the required Senior Seminar for math majors at Queens College of Charlotte North Carolina.

Most of the work presented is based on my experience in Professor A.W. Wickstead's Computer Algebra Course (210PMA308) at Queens University, Belfast Northern Ireland taken in the Spring term 2000.

Some of Professor Wickstead's notes are taken from examples presented in Stephen Wolfram's The Mathematica Book.

The rest of this tutorial is based on my own exploration of Mathematica, both with assistance from the Help Browser and with trial and error.

I needed a refresher on Linear Algebra, which I obtained from Keith R. Matthews' book Elementary Linear Algebra.

Many thanks to Dr. Michael Tarabek for advising me with this project and for understanding in the case of a sudden family emergency. Thanks also to Dr. Joan Quinn and Dr. K.W.H. Glass for sparking my interest in abstract algebra and the beauty of pure mathematics.

Very special thanks to Erica L. Brady, who selflessly left the state when I got down to crunch time and without whose support (and absence) this project would never have been finished.
