External redesign

"I want my blog to have three columns, and I want the color scheme to be based on a photo I took last week, and I want to use this great new font I discovered on our computer, and I want lists of things that use a proper hanging indent but don't have bullets. Can we do that?" Sure can.

But can you make it work with my RSS feeder? I've tried to subscribe to it a couple times and get "The feed could not be loaded because the content is not in a known feed format."

Are you using http://thoughtsfromhermes.blogspot.com/atom.xml as the RSS url?

adding the "/atom.xml" did the trick. I didn't know I had to do that as all the other blogs I subscribe to work fine just entering the url (without the atom bit)into the RSS feeder. Learn something new every day!
