Kent will be two weeks old on Tuesday and while we're still learning new things about our son on a daily basis, we've gotten comfortable enough with him that most of the new things no longer make us panic. We've even managed to get into a few routines, like bath time and bed time. Yay! Though, to be sure, the time between wakings is still pretty variable. We even managed to go out to eat twice this week, though I'm not sure how often we'll be attempting that feat.
GranDebbie has been visiting the past several days and it's been really helpful to have an extra set of hands around, to say nothing of someone who has successfully raised a child and can help allay some of our worries. She's going home tomorrow though, so Erica will find out exactly what being home by herself during the days will be like. I've still got a little leave left so I can come home in a pinch, and we may try and schedule some half days so that we can get some things done around the house.
Of course Bo bo (Grandma A) is sharing all this good stuff with friends at work and church and, and, and, and, and.....
I am really enjoying the photos. Mom says I have to take a lot of pictures when I get there, which I am thinking will be Sunday afternoon. I'll bring enough SD chips for two days and then on the road again. I think Kent has the greatest facial expressions for such a young guy - or you are really good at photoshop. The picture with Debbie is great!
See you all soon - so exciting!
I know newborns are tiny, but he looks SUPER itty bitty in the photos. I love that first one, it looks like a professional pic, and def needs to be in a frame!! =) Your son is adorable! I see both of you in him already.
It was so good to see you two today! Kent is just perfect and John and I really enjoyed meeting him. I love the picture where Kent is in his baby sling with Erica, and then the one where he is asleep with grandma. Precious. :)
